MATTHEW EDWARDSON


Born in Cambridge, England, Matthew studied at the Royal Ballet School before performing with Zurich Ballet and Victor Ullate Ballet.

Some of his career highlights include being a finalist at the Genée International Ballet Competition and performing at the Palace of Versailles with Victor Ullate Ballet.

Matthew joined the West Australian Ballet in 2014 as a part of the Corps de Ballet, and was promoted to Demi-Soloist at the end of The Nutcracker (2018) season.

Matthew’s repertoire includes Peter in Peter Pan, Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet and Fritz and the Russian dance in The Nutcracker as well as dancing in William Forsythe’s Artifact, George Balanchine’s Who Cares and Victor Ullate’s Jaleos.

In his spare time Matthew enjoys travelling.
