Butterfly Effect is a brand-new ballet from Australian choreographer and Helpmann Award winner, Alice Topp. Drawing inspiration from the well-known opera, Madame Butterfly, Alice has recontextualised the story for modern audiences, weaving together threads from the old and the new, through themes of love, loss, and shattering betrayal, and Puccini's classical score.
