Live Performances Just For Schools


Schools’ Matinees allow students and teachers to experience the magic of a live professional ballet production in a welcoming environment. Resource Packs and Excursion Management Plans are provided complimentary to teachers, making the experience as simple for teachers as it is rewarding for students.




School Matinee performances are just $15 per student, with one complimentary teacher’s ticket for every 10 students. Any additional adults are $30, maximum of four adults for every 10 students (1 x complimentary, plus 3 x $30).




La Sylphide

One of the world’s oldest surviving ballets and considered a cornerstone of romantic ballet, La Sylphide first premiered in Copenhagen in 1836. We remain true to Bounonville’s work, telling the story of Scottish farmer James, who on the eve of his wedding is tempted into the forest by a beautiful and ethereal Sylph.

Pure imagination and raw talent comes to full fruition as our dancers release their creative flair and exceptional skill in our invigorating mini-season of short works. This season is perfect for students studying choreography, improvisation and composition.

The tradition continues. Triumphantly returning to His Majesty’s stage, The Nutcracker is an enchanting Christmas treat filled with pure joy for all ages. This luminous classical ballet will capture hearts and imaginations, transporting students to the magical world of brave toy soldiers and dancing sugar canes.
