CALL OUT FOR YOUNG ASPIRING DANCERS, 10 YEARS AND ABOVE

West Australian Ballet is returning for another opportunity to engage with the aspiring dance community of Karratha. If you enjoy dancing, love being creative and part of a team, then join us for the audition on Wednesday 9 April. Successful applicants will be offered the chance to participate in a series of rehearsals, culminating in a sharing on Friday 16 May & Saturday 17 May, as part of Red Earth Arts Festival.

Requirements:

  • Must be aged 10 years and above
  • Some dance experience required, but no ballet experience required

Audition workshop:

  • Audition workshop: Wednesday 9 April (4pm – 6:30pm)
  • Audition workshop will include a chance to get-to-know our fabulous WA Ballet Teaching Artists, a dance class and some creative activities
  • Please wear something comfortable to move in; t-shirt, leggings, tracksuit pants etc.
  • Please bring some healthy snacks and a drink bottle.
  • The audition will take place at Red Earth Arts Precinct

  • Thursday 24 April (10am – 3pm), REAP
  • Saturday 26 April (10am – 3pm), REAP
  • Sunday 27 April (10am - 3pm), REAP
  • Friday 2 May (4pm – 6:30pm), REAP
  • Saturday 3 May (11:30am – 3:30pm), KBA
  • Sunday 4 May (10am – 3pm), KBA
  • Friday 9 May (4pm – 6:30pm), REAP
  • Saturday 10 May (10am – 3pm), REAP
  • Sunday 11 May (5-5 :30pm), REAP

Final rehearsals and performances:

  • Friday 16 May (4:30pm – 5:30pm), REAP, performance time TBC
  • Saturday 17 May (2pm – 4:30pm), REAP, performance time TBC
