OPEN AUDITION
West Australian Ballet is returning for another opportunity to engage with the aspiring dance community of Karratha. If you enjoy dancing, love being creative and part of a team, we'd love to meet you. Successful applicants will be offered the chance to participate in a series of rehearsals and perform as part of the Red Earth Arts Festival. Participants must be 10 years or above to register. This is a free opportunity.
Dates & times
Audition workshop:
Sunday 19 April (3pm - 5.30pm)
Registration below, this must be received by Tuesday 14 April, 12 midnight AWST
If you are successful, you will be required to attend the rehearsal schedule below:
Thursday 22 April (4pm – 6:30pm)
Friday 24 April (4pm – 6:30pm)
Sunday 26 April (9:30am - 3pm)
Thursday 30 April (4pm – 6:30pm)
Friday 1 May (4pm – 6:30pm)
Saturday 2 May (9:30am - 3pm)
Friday 8 May (4pm – 6:30pm)
Sunday 10 May (9:30am – 3pm)
All rehearsals are held at Red Earth Arts Precinct
Final rehearsals and performances:
Friday 15 May (2:30pm – 4:30pm), Red Earth Arts Precinct
The Quarter performance time: 5:20pm
Sunday 17 May (1:30pm – 3:30pm), Red Earth Arts Precinct
Dampier Hampton Oval performance time: 5:45pm
Application requirements:
• Must be 10 years and above
• Some dance experience required, but no ballet experience required
Audition workshop:
• Audition workshop: Sunday 19 April (3pm - 5.30pm)
• Audition workshop will include a chance to get-to-know our fabulous West Australian Ballet Teaching Artists, a dance class and some creative activities
• Please wear something comfortable to move in; t-shirt, leggings, tracksuit pants etc.
• Please bring some food and snacks that will sustain you and a drink bottle.
• The audition will take place at Red Earth Arts Precinct

• Registration below, this must be received by Tuesday 14 April, 12 midnight AWST

return the following two forms (Young Persons Engagement Details Form
& Sign in and out permission form) to avardy@waballet.com.au to complete your registration.
