West Australian Ballet has an exciting opportunity for young male and female dancers to be involved in the upcoming season of ALICE (in wonderland) at Crown Theatre Perth from Saturday 5 July - Saturday 12 July 2025.
Feel the excitement and energy as Septime Webre’s family smash hit returns! A feast for the eyes that boldly marries ballet with theatre and puppetry. Journey with us as Alice takes another crazy tumble down the rabbit hole.
Successful applicants will gain valuable rehearsal experience and will be contracted as a Child Guest Artist for a roster of performances during the season. Applicants must be available for all rehearsals and performances as indicated on the schedule.
Requirements:
• Boys and Girls may apply
• Must be aged between 7 - 14 years and between 100cm – 145cm in height at the time of auditions and across the rehearsals and performance season (costume requirement)
• Must have dance experience and be able to pick up choreography quickly
• Must be able to do a forward roll and cartwheel (left and right sides)
Audition Details:
• Audition timeslots are between 12:00pm and 5:00pm, Saturday 3 May 2025.
• Each child will be required for a maximum of 1 hour for their audition. Exact audition times will be sent via email on Wednesday 30 April 2025.
• Callback auditions will be held the following day, Sunday 4 May 2025. Applicants will be notified via email on the evening of Saturday 3 May 2025 if their attendance is required at the callback audition. The email will provide an exact callback audition timeslot and any additional information, as necessary.
• Only applicants who are invited to the callback audition will be considered for a place in the production. These applicants will be notified of the outcome of their callback audition via email by Wednesday 7 May 2025, 5:00pm.
• Please wear a leotard and tights or shorts, or a unitard, with flat ballet shoes and hair tied away from the face.
• Please refrain from wearing clothing that indicates what dance school you attend.
• Please be advised that the audition may be filmed by the Artistic team for internal purposes and the footage will be deleted following notification of the audition outcome. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please contact the below.

• Registrations via TryBooking must be received by Sunday 27 April 2025, 11:59pm AWST
• Late registrations will NOT be accepted.
• Your TryBooking ticket is your confirmation that your application has been received.
