Lucas McLean

Born in Mildura, regional Victoria, Lucas started dancing jazz and tap at the Mildura Ballet & Dance Guild, at age eight. He began Classical Ballet at 14, and two years later moved to Melbourne to commence studying at the Victorian College of The Arts Secondary School.
After graduating from the VCASS, Lucas joined Level 7 at The Australian Ballet School in 2023.
In December 2024, Lucas graduated with an Advanced Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) and a Graduate Diploma of Classical Ballet. During his time at ABS, he was fortunate enough to join The Australian Ballet’s National Tour and perform works by choreographers George Balanchine and Paul Knobloch. He also had the opportunity to perform pieces by esteemed choreographers such as Tim Harbour, Lucas Jervies and Graeme Murphy.
In 2025, Lucas performed in The Australian Ballet's touring season of The Sleeping Beauty Storytime Ballet. Following this, he was a guest artist with West Australian Ballet for their Crown Theatre season of ALICE (in wonderland), before joining the company as a Young Artist for Cinderella, and Season 2026.
In his spare time, he likes exploring new cafes and reading a good book.
