John has spent over 25 years as an Investment Adviser with Euroz Hartleys, working with Australian and International clients. He has previously worked with the Royal Bank of Canada in Asia as a Global Private Banking Specialist.

During this time, John worked actively in the private sector, notably as Chair of the Methodist Ladies College Foundation, helping to establish their giving program. He was also actively involved in fundraising for the Western Australian Museum through the inaugural Artefact Circle. John actively supports Yirra Yaakin and West Australian Ballet. John is on the Board of the WA Cricket Foundation and is a Life Member and former Board Member of Artrage. John was recently inducted into Sovereign Order of St John for his philanthropic work.

A former Australian diplomat with postings in Thailand and Indonesia, John speaks Thai and Indonesian and is Honorary Consul of Colombia in Western Australia.
