Alexa Tuzil


Alexa was born in Gilbert, Arizona, USA.

She trained with the professional school at the Kirov Academy of Ballet of Washington D.C. and at age 17 moved to Europe, working with Heinz Spoerli’s Zurich Ballet.

Alexa has since worked with Theater Krefeld un Mönchengladbach, and the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich before joining the West Australian Ballet in 2018.

Alexa’s repertoire and memorable roles include Für die Kinder von Gestern Heute und Morgen by Pina Bausch, Falling Angels by Juri Kylian, Unitxt by Richard Siegal, Lead Sylph and Sylphide in La Sylphide by August Bournonville, Paradise Within by Patrick Delcroix, Big Swans in John Neumeier’s Illusionen wie Schwanensee (Swan Lake), Symphony in C by George Balanchine, Ghost Gum by Christopher Hill, and Heinz Spoerli’s Cello Suites.

In her free time, Alexa enjoys evenings in with friends, running, and going to the cinema.
