CALL OUT FOR YOUNG ASPIRING DANCERS, 10 YEARS AND ABOVE

West Australian Ballet is returning for another opportunity to engage with the aspiring dance community of Port Hedland. If you enjoy dancing, love being creative and part of a team, then join us for the audition on Thursday 11 July. Successful applicants will be offered the chance to participate in a series of rehearsals over two weeks, culminating in a sharing on Saturday 27 July as part of Spinifex Spree.

Requirements:

  • Must be aged 10 years and above
  • Some dance experience required, but no ballet experience required

Audition workshop:

  • Audition workshop: Thursday 11 July (3pm – 5:30pm)
  • Audition workshop will include a chance to get-to-know our fabulous WA Ballet Teaching Artists, a dance class and some creative activities
  • Please wear something comfortable to move in; t-shirt, leggings, tracksuit pants etc.
  • Please bring some healthy snacks and a drink bottle.
  • The audition will take place at Gratwick Hall

Registrations:

Please complete the TWO forms, Young Person’s Engagement Form and Sign in and out Form and email them to avardy@waballet.com.au

Once you have emailed the forms click on the register now button below and follow the prompts to complete your registration.

Registration must be received by Monday 8 July, 12 midnight AWST.

If you are successful, you will be required to attend the rehearsal schedule below.
If you are unable to attend any of the rehearsals, you must notify us as soon as possible.

  • Saturday 13 July (11am-4pm), Gratwick Hall
  • Sunday 14 July (10am-3pm), Gratwick Hall
  • Friday 19 July (4pm-6:30pm), Gratwick Hall
  • Saturday 20 July (11am-4pm), Gratwick Hall
  • Sunday 21 July (10am-3pm), Gratwick Hall
  • Friday 26 July (4pm-6:30pm), Gratwick Hall

Final rehearsal and sharing:

  • Saturday 27 July
    Performance #1 (10am-12:30pm) TBC
    Rehearsal (3pm-4:30pm) Gratwick Hall
    Performance #2 (4:45pm-6:30pm) TBC
