Wesfarmers and WAB
West Australian Ballet is proud to announce a new stage in their partnership with Wesfarmers.
The Western Australia based corporation has been a partner of WAB for over seven years, and in 2016 will rise from Major Partner to Lead Partner in acknowledgement of their ongoing support. During recent months, WAB has had the opportunity to be a part of various Wesfarmers events including their Annual General Meeting, and a farewell dinner for former Chair Dr Bob Every AO.
WAB was privileged to be asked to showcase costumes dating back to 2008 at the annual Wesfarmers AGM held at the Perth Convention Centre on 12 November. Costumes included Cinderella’s ball gown from the 2008 production and the Matador costume from the 2010 production of Don Quixote.
The display provided Wesfarmers stakeholders the opportunity to see these intricately detailed costumes up close and gain an insight in to the story behind each garment. As these costumes are usually hidden away in archival storage, this was a rare and successful event for all.
At the Wesfarmers Retirement Dinner for their former chair Dr Bob Every AO, dancers Sandy Delasalle and Matthew Lehmann performed the always captivating La Pluie by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. The dinner held at Frasers, Kings Park hosted 120 Wesfarmers guest and included entertainment form WAB, West Australian Symphony Orchestra & West Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra. It was our pleasure to contribute to the entertainment on the evening and we wish Bob all the very best.
