Artistic Director, Aurélien Scannella, is hosting open auditions for West Australian Ballet.

Applications close on Wednesday 7 August 2019. Incomplete applications or those received after the closing date, will not be considered.

Director, Finance & Corporate Services

 

On behalf of the West Australian Ballet we are delighted to invite applications for the position of Director Finance and Corporate Services. The position reports to the Executive Director and is a member of the senior leadership team.

 

Established in 1952, West Australian Ballet is Australia’s oldest ballet company and has developed an impressive reputation for superior classical and contemporary ballet and contemporary dance of the highest level. It has developed an extensive repertoire.  West Australian Ballet stages everything from full length classical ballets, narrative ballets and shorter works, and encompasses a variety of choreographic styles.

 

The Company is based in Perth and resides at the West Australian Ballet Centre in Maylands. It offers an extensive program of dance throughout the year, with three to four major seasons in Perth, regional touring throughout Western Australia, choreographic workshops, an extensive education program and other community activities. The company has toured nationally and internationally.

 

The Director has a broad role encompassing:

  • All finance, accounting, budgeting;
  • IT and corporate records;
  • Company secretarial, compliance, governance and risk;
  • Board reporting and support
  • HRM policy and procedures;
  • Contracts and commercial matters.

 

We are interested in candidates who offer experience in a similar managerial role. We seek demonstrated experience in reviewing and improving systems, procedures and processes. Key to success in this position will be your ability to work effectively within a dynamic and creative organisation culture with a strong focus on excellence and continuous improvement.
