Vida was born in the small town of Coroglen, New Zealand, and trained with Pauline Germon and Melinda Palmer before moving to Sydney at the age of 14 to continue her training at Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy..


Vida’s international achievements include winning the Gold Medal at the Genee Competition 2014, highest class placement in New York City’s American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive 2014, Youth America Grand Prix Finalist 2015 and winning the Alana Haines Award 2015.


During Vida’s time in Sydney, she was thrilled to participate in the Genee International Ballet competition in 2014 and dance in the finals of the Alana Haines Australasian Awards in New Zealand and the Youth America Grand Prix in New York.


In 2015, at the age of 17, Vida joined the West Australian Ballet as a Young Artist, and was promoted to the Corps de Ballet in 2017.


Some of Vida’s highlights while dancing with the West Australian Ballet have been dancing the role of Clara in Jayne Smeulders, Scannella’s and Sandy Delaselle’s The Nutcracker, dancing in Christopher Hill’s The Clearest Light, and dancing Girlfriends in Lucette Aldous’ Don Quixote.


In her spare time, Vida enjoys cooking, and if you can’t find her, she’ll likely be at the beach!.
