Born in Melbourne, Australia. Tyson began dancing at the age of 11 at a local dance school in Melbourne’s West, Dance Effects Performing Arts Studio. In 2010 he received a full scholarship to the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School. Upon completion of year 12, he successfully auditioned for The Australian Ballet School where he spent the next 3 years under the directorship of Marilyn Rowe and Lisa Pavane, gaining his Graduate Diploma of Dance. During his time at the ballet school, he had the pleasure of working with lots of world renown choreographers, some being Stanton Welch, Stephan Baynes and Graeme Murphy. He has danced for The Australian Ballets Dancers Company with their production of Swan Lake and The Australian Ballets Regional tour performing Giselle. He has also guested with The Australian Ballet during their season of Manon. Tyson is very excited to join West Australian Ballet and looks forward to the future!
