Sarah Hepburn

Sarah was born in Perth, Western Australia and trained at the Steven’s Dance Academy and WAAPA


Sarah joined West Australian Ballet in May 2007 as a Seasonal artist before being offered a position as WAB’s first Young Artist in January 2008. In 2013 Sarah was promoted to soloist.


Sarah has danced many principal roles in her time with the company, including Bianca from Cranko’s The Taming of the Shrew, Juliet in Vamous’ Romeo and Juliet, Lise in Ribaud’s La Fille mal gardee, Swanilda in Horseman’s Coppelia, Giselle in Giselle, Cinderella and Step Sister in Smeulders’ Cinderella, Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker and Dawson’s Five.


Sarah has also performed the roles of Kitri (Don Quixote), Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream) with Perth City Ballet.


Sarah loves revisiting roles she previously performed as she likes to bring more depth and new experiences to the character.


Sarah’s “spare time” is spent with her husband and beautiful little daughter, Bianca.
