Alessandra D’Arbe

Alessandra began her dance training in Australia and attended Queensland Dance School of Excellence in Brisbane and Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. She went on to finish her training with Russian teacher Bella Ratchinskaja in Milan. After finishing hre diploma, Alessandra danced with L’Arena di Verona and Balletto di Milano where she toured Italy and other European countries. She also danced with Balletto di Torino in an art festival in Malta.


Alessandra joined West Australian Ballet in 2006 and her favourite roles in the past years include Step Lightly by Paul Lightfoot, Irina in Simon Dow’s Red Shoes, Solo Willis and Queen of the Willis in Giselle, Mercedes, Queen of the Driads and Friends in Lucette Aldous’ Don Quixote, Spanish Dance in Ivan Cavallari’s The Nutcracker, First and Fourth Movement in Suit No. 2 by Uve Scholtz, Blue Fairy and Jewels in Marcia Haydee’s Sleeping Beauty, Un Ballo by Jiri Kylian and the Stepmother in Jayne Smeulder’s Cinderella.
