In just over three weeks we will be basking under a canopy of Perth’s summer stars with the opening of the must-see summer experience – Takuto: Ballet at the Quarry presented as part of the Perth International Arts Festival (PIAF).

A program more bold and sublime than ever before will unfold with four contemporary dance works, each taking you on a journey to ignite your inner rhythm and light the fire within.

Annabelle Lopez Ochoa returns with an Australian Premiere In Transit, Eric Gauthier brings two Australian Premieres Ballet 101 and Takuto, and WAB dancer Christopher Hill shares his World Premiere The Clearest Light.

The electrifying sounds of Japanese Taiko drums are reverberating through the Ballet Centre this week and we’re loving every minute of it!

Eric Gauthier’s Takuto features six hand-made drums each played live on stage by our dancers. Be sure to check out our Instagram story each day to get a taste of just how powerful they really are.

Tickets are selling fast, with many performances already sold out. Cheap tickets available for group bookings.*
