Vida Polakov trained with Pauline Germon, Thames Hauraki Ballet Theatre and Melinda Palmer, Mount Eden Ballet Academy. At the age of 14, Vida was awarded a full scholarship to study at the Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney and trained full-time with staff including Tanya Pearson and Lucinda Dunn.
Vida’s International achievements include winning the Gold Medal at the International Genee Competition 2014; highest class placement in New York City’s American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive 2014, Youth America Grand Prix Finalist 2015 and winning the Alana Haines Award in 2015.
Australian achievements include Finalist RAD NSW Bursary 2013, Guest Artist Isobel Anderson Award 2015 and dancing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Sydney City Youth Ballet’s Nutcracker, December 2014.
Vida is very excited to begin her Young Artist Scholarship with West Australian Ballet in August, proudly supported by Wesfarmers.
