Isabella Robinson

 

Isabella joined West Australian Ballet after 3 years at the Finnish National Ballet, where after a few months as an apprentice, she was promoted to dancer.

 

Whilst in Finland, Isabella danced in numerous classics, including Swan Lake, La Sylphide, The Nutcracker, Manon, La Bayadere and Sleeping Beauty. She also had the privilege of performing and working with choreographers such as Ohad Naharin and Jorma Elo.

 

Isabella trained at Academy Ballet in Sydney and then at the Australian Conservatoire of Ballet in Melbourne. Isabella has been fortunate enough to enjoy the tutelage and guidance of some very prominent dancers, including Miss Vicki Attard and, Ms Cynthia Harvey.

 

In 2009, Isabella won the Roseta Mauri International Competition in Spain, convened by Mr Arcardi Carbonell and later Mr Angel Corella. Isabella performed the lead role in the critically acclaimed Bennelong Project Sydney Opera House.

 

Isabella seized the opportunity to work with West Australian Ballet and considers the sun and Perth lifestyle a bonus.

Isabella, a keen linguist, is currently learning Swedish and also enjoys film, fashion and art.
