Genevieve was raised in Tasmania where she began her training with Debra Butterworth, Michelle Williams and Jo Hills, before finishing her schooling at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne. While at VCASS Genevieve danced featured roles in both Simon Hoy’s Dido and Aeneas and Timothy Harbour’s Carman and Jose. In 2013 she graduated from Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts with an Advanced Diploma in Dance and perfomed in Beijing as a featured dancer in Kim McCarthy’s Violins. She was also selected to perform Nacho Duato’s Jardi Tancat and Swanhilda in Coppelia Suitein her graduating performance at WAAPA. 2014 will be a valuable opportunity for Genevieve as she joins the company as a Young Artist.
