PLAY YOUR PART IN WEST AUSTRALIAN BALLET
Patron: Mrs Alexandra Burt
Every year, West Australian Ballet presents a season of glorious, inspiring and creative masterpieces. Every year, West Australian Ballet relies on the support of our donors to be able to present these seasons, and the many intricate layers that lie beneath the finished masterpiece that you witness. From ballet shoes to physio treatments, tutus to orchestral scores, rehearsal lighting to stage makeup, and young dancers to prima ballerinas, we invite you to be a part of our journey with a donation beyond the cost of your season tickets.
Donations, no matter how large or small, are fully tax deductible and all our valued donors receive West Australian Ballet’s biannual publication, Ballet News.
Donate Ballet Shoes
Each year, our prima ballerinas can use up to 120 pairs of ballet shoes. We invite you to buy a pair of shoes for one of our dancers with your contribution of $75.
Every ballet season features new and updated costumes which are hand made by our fabulous wardrobe department. A costume for a principal dancer will include leggings or stockings. special shoes, petticoats, tutus, head pieces and hats, jewellery and makeup. Your donation of $300 will help our dancers to ‘look the part’ when they are onstage!
Gifts over $500 are acknowledged in company publications, and receive recognition through our Ballet Circle, which includes special insights into West Australian Ballet through exclusive events and opportunities.
Ballet Circle Giving levels include:
$100,000+ Major Benefactor
$10,000+ Bravura Circle
$5,000+ Artistic Director’s Circle
$2,000+ Choreographers’ Circle
$1,000+ Leading Artists’ Circle
$500+ Artists’ Circle
Giving assists the Company in three key areas:
West Australian Ballet, like performing arts companies the world over, can only ever be as dynamic as the productions they are able to present. Our company strives to produce a uniquely Western Australian ballet experience by taking our audiences on an artistic journey which includes new repertoire, and fresh stagings of ballet classics. Each of these ballet adventures costs well in excess of our box office receipts, and can only be achieved with your generous support.
Our most precious assets are our outstanding dancers. Each dancer represents years of training and a lifelong commitment to their art. Help us to care for them and achieve their very best by providing an array of services to keep them fit, healthy, and always on their toes!
Aspiring young dancers are our ‘cygnets’. With the right training, mentoring and stage experience, they will develop into beautiful swans, destined to grace our stage. Your donation will help to provide our young dancers with the resources and experience to enter a professional company and for the world of dance to flourish within our state.
